Where Girls Make a Home Away From Home
Camp Onaway is a traditional residential summer camp for girls ages 9 to 15, located on Newfound Lake in Hebron, New Hampshire. For generations, we have provided girls with a place to discover their best selves. The magic of an Onaway summer is found in the return to simple living, the close bonds formed between campers and counselors, and the feeling of community that comes from spending seven weeks together.

Welcome to Camp Onaway!
I am so glad you found us. Whether you are just beginning your search or are already a little in love with what you see, I hope this website gives you a true sense of the warm, spirited community that has called these shores home for over a century.
My own story with Onaway began in 1982, when I arrived as a camper and found something I hadn't expected — a place that felt like home. I returned summer after summer, first as a camper and then as a counselor, and those years shaped me in ways I am still discovering. It is that same love for Onaway and belief in what this place offers girls that brought me back as Director in 2016, and it is what gets me up every morning with genuine joy.
